Canadian bass-baritone John Relyea, who just ended a highly acclaimed run as Boris Ismailov in the Met's production of Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, will also be singing the role of the Grand Inquisitor in all of the Met's upcoming performances of Verdi's Don Carlo, which opens on November 3.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee. On Tuesday, September 13, nine record stores in New York City will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the original 2000 film, Almost Famous, with an Almost Famous-inspired vinyl selection of records curated by Cameron Crowe, Academy Award-winning director, writer and co-lyricist of the new Broadway musical of the same title.
