by Nicole Rosky - Mar 22, 2020

'Throughout my career,' says BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge, 'I have had the opportunity to do in-depth interviews with some of the greatest artists working on stage, screen and television. One of my favorite interviews, is also one of the rarest, which is a two part sit down with three-time Tony Award recipient, Bernadette Peters. She has done many interviews, but I have never seen another interview with her at this length, that delved so deeply into her illustrious career, which began at the age of five. I conducted this interview on Dec. 1, 1997 and we follow her career highlights from the Horn and Hardart show through the one-night-only Into the Woods reunion. I really hope you enjoy this very special Broadway Rewind.'

Two years ago, I revisited French Woods Festival of the Arts (which I attended from 1999 to 2002 as a camper/teen actor and then as an assistant director/stage manager) and BroadwayWorld kindly published an article I wrote about the experience. In light of my responsibilities at work (attorney by day, theater critic by night) and at home (including a hyperactive toddler and commuting daily between NY and NJ), I was not planning on visiting again this past summer, but that instantly changed when I learned that the camp was planning on presenting 1776 for the first time in nearly two decades - and with an all-female cast.

No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound.” Rewind, Replay, Rebound is available on all formats here, including a 2 CD deluxe edition, a special deluxe edition box set, and transparent and blue colored vinyl, numbered and limited to 1,000 copies each.
