James Conlon, Music Director of LA Opera since 2006, has announced that the 2025/26 season will be his final season as music director.

The JACK Quartet will appear at Constellation on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 8:30pm in a concert of forward-looking works curated to showcase the vitality of the string quartet genre, and its adoption into modern composition, some 275 years after Haydn defined the form.

French Ensemble Ébène Quartet will make their Baltimore debut at Shriver Hall on April 7, 2024, performing works by Mozart, Schnittke, and Grieg's only complete quartet.

The next production to take The Actors' Gang stage is The Darkness: Goddess Revealed, written and performed by Nick Gillie and directed by Dwain Perry. Presented as a special co-production in partnership with Black University and Okan Entertainment, the story is told through the perspective of three vastly different characters (played by Gillie) who enter the afterlife and meet sacred female beings called The We. But have they gathered to hear the new arrivals’ life stories or have a more spiritual lesson in mind? I was curious to hear about the genesis of the play, more about the characters, the purpose of The We in the storyline, and Nick Gille’s personal involvement with Black University.
