THE CENTER AT WEST PARK (CWP), the Upper West Side's cultural hub for diverse, engaging, and boundary-pushing performing arts, announces the Cohort of resident artists selected for the 2022/2023 Object Movement Puppetry Residency & Festival, an annual presentation of new short works developed in residence at The Center at West Park.

In honor of Veterans Day, Arts in the Armed Forces will present a reading of the 2022 Pulitzer Prize-winning play FAT HAM by James Ijames, directed by Sideeq Heard, featuring original cast members from the successful off-Broadway co-production between The Public Theater and National Black Theatre ​​directed by Saheem Ali.

The full company has been announced for Orlando – joining Emma Corrin, in the title role, are Deborah Findlay (Mrs Grimsditch), Jessica Alade (Virginia, Drunken Tory), Debra Baker (Virginia, Favilla, The Captain), Akuc Bol (Virginia, Euphrosyne, Prue), Lucy Briers (Virginia, Queen Elizabeth, Officer), Richard Cant (Virginia, Harriet, Kitty), Melissa Lowe (Virginia, Drunken Tory), Jodie McNee (Virginia, Marmaduke), Oliver Wickham (Virginia, Clorinda), and Millicent Wong (Virginia, Sasha, Nell).

Tenor Allan Clayton, who made his acclaimed Met debut in the title role of Brett Dean’s Hamlet last season, will headline Britten’s haunting masterpiece Peter Grimes when the work returns to the Met for eight performances October 16–November 12, 2022.

The first queer production of critically-acclaimed Sea Wall will premiere at the Turner Contemporary in collaboration with Margate Pride this August.  Written by Olivier and Tony-award winning Simon Stephens’ (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, National Theatre; Birdland, Royal Court Theatre), Sea Wall is being brought to life by a female-led creative team for one performance only.
