Everyone's favorite characters from Cleveland Street are back for their 11th production with Cleveland Play House (CPH) during the 2018 holiday season. A Christmas Story will once again delight Cleveland audiences with the story you know and love, based on the original motion picture that was filmed in Cleveland. CPH's production of A Christmas Story has quickly become an annual holiday tradition for families of all generations. Each year, these performances attract thousands of new guests to live theatre at Cleveland Play House. Previews begin November 23rd with press opening on November 30th at the Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square. This production will be sponsored by Dollar Bank and Pinecrest.

Applications are now available for two Goodman Theatre Education and Engagement programs-Disney Musicals in Schools and Cindy Bandle Young Critics-offered at no cost to Chicagoland youth. Applications for Disney Musicals in Schools are available through Monday, October 15 and Cindy Bandle Young Critics through Friday, October 19 at GoodmanTheatre.org/Engage-Learn. The world premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Freaky Friday” on Friday, August 10 (8:00-9:45 p.m. EDT/PDT) reached 7.2 million Total Viewers – including 3.1 million Kids 6-14 – across seven telecasts in its first three days. The Friday (8:00 p.m.) telecast alone ranks as the summer's #1 TV telecast among both Kids 6-11 (999,000/4.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (782,000/3.2 rating) and is the top cable telecast in six months among both Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 – since 2/16/18 and 2/19/18, respectively.  Disney Channel's “Freaky Friday” is available now on DisneyNOW and VOD. 

Disney Channel's musical film adaptation of Freaky Friday officially aired on Friday, August 10. The musical featured an original score written by Broadway veterans Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal, If/Then). The pair penned nine original songs for the musical and you can watch the cast, including Heidi Blickenstaff and Cozi Zuehlsdorff, sing six of them in the clips from the film below!

Disney Theatrical Productions just celebrated its first stage-to-television collaboration with the Disney Channel in adapting its original stage musical Freaky Friday for a worldwide televised premiere on the Disney Channel on Friday, August 10th.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Chad Michael Murray has signed on to star in Hallmark Channel movie The Wise Men with Jessy Schram, EW has learned exclusively. In the film, Maggie (Schram) must ensure that three adult sons of her boss arrive home for Christmas. But when a blizzard hits, Maggie persuades the eldest son and her co-worker, Danny (Murray), to assist her in navigating this cross-country journey while trying to shut down the blossoming romance that is coming with this snowstorm.
