An afternoon Island Celebration! The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, Dale Badway, President, have announced, today, the 74th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony will take place at Circle in the Square. Theatre World Award Alum Victor Garber (Hello, Dolly!) will receive the 6th Annual John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement In The Theatre, celebrating his 46th year on the Broadway stage.

After breaking previous box office records at The Other Palace, the European premiere of HEATHERS - THE MUSICAL continues to delight, this time with the announcement of an incredible house band.

Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) is pleased to announce that applications for the FY2019 Mark Ryder Original Choreography Grant Program are now available. This program was established at the bequest of Mark Ryder's family, in honor of his life's work, to recognize individual creative expression, and to provide financial assistance to choreographers to create new original work. A fund has been established at the Columbia Foundation to enable monies to be awarded for this purpose in perpetuity. The grant award recipients will be announced at HCAC's Annual Meeting and Grant Awards Ceremony in September 2018. The minimum grant amount will be $500.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciar n O'Reilly, Producing Director) and Tara Finney Productions announced today a two-week extension of the 20th Anniversary Production of Enda Walsh's breakthrough play DISCO PIGS. Directed by John Haidar (Last of the Boys), DISCO PIGS began performances on January 5, 2018 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, and officially opened on January 9, 2018. Esteemed actor and activist Michael J. Fox is joining The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studio's DESIGNATED SURVIVOR on ABC for a five-episode arc in which Fox will guest star as Ethan West, a high-flying and connected Washington attorney who is hired by the President's Cabinet and ultimately appointed as special prosecutor to investigate former President Cornelius Moss's alleged leak of classified information.
