Donna Murphy and Jo Koy Complete Cast of Live Action ANASTASIA

Casting has been completed on the live-action family film Anastasia, with Comedian Jo Koy and Broadway actress, Donna Murphy, confirmed to co-star as "Vladimir Lenin" and "Yara the Enchantress."

Koy is a well-known stand-up comedian who's currently on his Break The Mold world tour. His latest stand-up special, Jo Koy: Live From Seattle can be seen on Netflix. Koy's other appearances include over 100 episodes of Chelsea Lately, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, @MIDNIGHT with Chris Hardwick, Sean In The Wild, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE and Last Call with Carson Daly.

Two-time Tony Award winner, Donna Murphy, recently completed a run in the Broadway revival of Hello Dolly. Her other film roles include Star Trek: Insurrection, Spider-Man 2, Tangled and The Bourne Legacy.

Koy and Murphy join previously announced Brandon Routh (Legends of Tomorrow), Emily Carey (Wonder Woman) and Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes).

Set in 1917, Anastasia is a re-telling of the classic story in which Anastasia Romanov escapes through a portal when her family is threatened by Vladimir Lenin, and finds herself in the year 1988, befriended by a young American girl.

Production on the time-travel film began last summer and will resume shooting next month.

Producers on Anastasia are Armando Gutierrez, Eli Lipnik, Peter Lees and Bret Jones. Blake Harris will direct from his screenplay. The original concept for the story came from Gutierrez and Harris.

Anastasia marks the second production between Swen Group, the Latin American company that recently established a US distribution arm, and Florida-based Production Company Conglomerate.
