Today Underbelly announces the final 91 shows joining its Fringe programme this August. Hylton Performing Arts Center announced today its 2019-2020 season of mainstage performances, featuring a diverse lineup of artists and ensembles across genres, as part of Hylton Presents, Hylton Family Series, Matinee Idylls, and the American Roots Series. The Hylton Center also announced the first Hylton Center EXTRA! for the season: the husband and wife duo and banjo icons, B la Fleck and Abigail Washburn, in a special concert event featuring their unique blend of alternative bluegrass. The York Theatre Company has today announced the cast for its one-night only concert version of the newly re-imagined version of the beloved Broadway hit musical I Do! I Do!, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, based on the play The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog.

A.D. Players at The George hosted their second annual After Dinner Affair on Saturday March 23. The event celebrated all the theater has accomplished in the last year, and looked forward to the upcoming 2019-2020 season. The Transporting American Theatre Award recognizes significant contributions to the American Theatre. Repertory Dance Theatre celebrates 53 years of revolutionary modern dance with their annual fundraiser and choreographer competition, REGALIA, on February 9, 2019, at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Following the success of her Sense and Sensibility at the Folger Theatre in 2016, Wall Street Journal's Playwright of the Year 2017 Kate Hamill, returns to D.C. with her adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel Vanity Fair. Hamill's vibrant and colorful tale about society's foibles is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater.
