The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that Jerry Mitchell Will Receive The 2023 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and contributions to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and for more than three decades of volunteer service through the arts.

American Repertory Theater has announced that six original cast members from its 2012 production of Pippin will visit The Lunch Room on #GivingTuesday, November 29, at 12PM to celebrate the revival’s 10th anniversary. 

In spring 2023, the Milwaukee Art Museum will present Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980, the first exhibition to examine the extensive design exchanges between the United States and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden during the 20th century.

The European première of Head Over Heels will take place the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester next year. The production opens on 31 January 2023, with previews from 26 January, running until 4 March.

Inis Nua Theatre Company has announced the launch of Queer Connections Reading Series, featuring three moving stories that focus on life, love and competition.

​​​​​​​Due to a positive Covid test by one of the actors in our current show Thumbs, Charlotte's Off-Broadway is cancelling the shows on Oct 19, 20, 21 and 22, but extending the run to add shows on Nov 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2022.

The series follows “Southern Charm” resident boss-lady Leva Bonaparte as she manages Charleston’s very own “it” crowd, otherwise known as her larger-than-life staff at Republic Garden & Lounge. The Broadway community will honor the memory of Dame Angela Lansbury, the six-time Tony Award-winning actress. Ms. Lansbury passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 96.

Inis Nua Theatre Company will open its 19th season with the American premiere of 10 Dates With Mad Mary, written by Yasmine Akram. This comedy play tells the story of Mary McArdle, an antisocial young woman trying to find a date for her best friend’s wedding. The show runs from October 26, 2022 until November 6, for a total of eight performances.

Leopoldstadt marks the 19th production of a Tom Stoppard play to open on Broadway since Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead opened 55 years ago. Thumbs, a mystery comedy thriller written by Rupert Holmes, will be presented in Charlotte’s Off-Broadway intimate Black Box Theater inside the VAPA Center at 700 N. Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte.

According to an interview with The Age, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg are currently revising Martin Guerre for a potential London run in 2024. Paul Hodge, who wrote Clinton: The Musical, is helping with the rewrite. Original producer Cameron Mackintosh has returned the rights to the creators and will not be involved. 

The Hip Hop Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky's 130-year-old ballet reimagined as a holiday dance spectacle, will travel to 30 cities this fall while celebrating the show's 10th season. Inspired by the live stage show, the Original Special 'The Hip Hop Nutcracker' from Disney Branded Television will stream this holiday season, only on Disney+.

Due to a cast change, 'Hedda Gabler' must postpone its opening by one week. The production now begins September 29, runs through October 9. Sean Phillips takes over role of Eilert Lovborg.
