Sunnyside Records has announced the March 25, 2022 release of The Normyn Suites by the Michael Leonhart Orchestra. The Normyn Suites is both a requiem and celebration, inspired by the life and death of the bandleader's 15-year-old dog, a female mini dachshund named Normyn.

Fest For Beatles Fans Returns After Two-Year Pandemic Pause

It took a global pandemic to sideline the world's largest and longest-running annual celebration of The Beatles, but after two long years and several Virtual Fests in between, The Fest For Beatles Fans is back!  The NY Metro Fest takes over the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City for three days of peace & love April 1, 2, 3.  In keeping with the times, this year's Fest will be both in-person AND virtual, making it now possible for everyone to enjoy no matter where they are.

The Shubert Organization has announced plans for a memorial celebration of its former Chairman, Philip J. Smith on Tuesday, March 22 at 1:00pm at the Music Box Theatre, 239 West 45th Street. Mr. Smith passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 89.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think back to the music of 1969?  Perhaps it's Woodstock, the rock festival that still defines the very concept of the rock festival.  Or maybe it's one of the year's many great albums: The Who's Tommy, Jefferson Airplane's Volunteers, The Band's self-titled, Blind Faith's debut, Led Zeppelin I and II and more.  The Beatles played their final concert on a London roof, and Cream said “goodbye.”

In celebration of tomorrow’s anniversary of The Beatles’ final concert on the rooftop of their Apple Corps building in London, The Beatles™ LOVE™ by Cirque du Soleil shares a special tribute video featuring their own special rooftop performance. Filmed atop The Mirage Hotel & Casino, the vibrant video stars 27 LOVE cast members performing to “Get Back” (LOVE Version). Filming the once-in-a-lifetime performance required two drones and four cameras and was completed in just two and a half hours. Watch The Beatles LOVE cast’s rooftop performance video below.

The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble re-opens its re-envisioning of the Odyssey's 1969 West Coast premiere of The Serpent, the Obie award-winning play by Jean-Claude van Itallie. The production initially opened in March, 2020 as part of the Odyssey's 50th Anniversary “Circa '69” Season, but was shuttered five days later by the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
