Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the continuation of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, will return for one last outing this summer with a four-part event.

New York City Ballet’s 2026-27 Season will open on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 and continue for 21 weeks of performances, through Sunday, May 30, 2027 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

DERBY DINNER PLAYHOUSE will present the Broadway musical HAIRSPRAY, opening April 1, 2026, in Clarksville, Indiana. The production features a cast led by Katelyn Webb and includes iconic songs from the show.

A comedic voice that speaks to a generation is, to put it mildly, a powerful title. But comedic actress Romy Teperson has never been afraid of dizzying heights, nor one to shy away from ambitious achievements. It is unclear whether the call to acting is a result of sheer talent or her unique comedic delivery’s ability to garner attention from Hollywood’s best to ever do it. What is clear is that Teperson has both, in spades, and then some.

Broadway has a long history of one-person shows, including many that have been added to the canon in this century.  Seeing one actor powerfully create a whole world on stage can be an exceptional experience. Of course, one handers are hardly one-person projects; while there may only be one actor on stage, they are collaborating with an entire team of creatives, designers, and behind-the-scenes personnel to bring a show to life. 

This is my first visit to Helsingborg Stadsteater but probably not my last. Well-organized and good with lots of free lockers for your jacket and large items. Great  modern theatre auditorium with a excellent grading between the rows in the stalls.

If you are new to Death Note, there is a lot to catch up on. It has inspired multiple adaptations across television, film, novels, video games, and even stage productions, becoming one of the most influential franchises in contemporary Japanese pop culture. The musical features a score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. Wildhorn and Murphy's past collaborations include The Civil War, Swing, Wonderland, Carmen, and Count of Monte Cristo. Wildhorn is perhaps best known for Jekyll & Hyde, Bonnie & Clyde, The Scarlet Pimpernall, and Dracula. Wildhorn's work on Death Note led to more manga adaptations, including Fist of the North Star in 2021 and Your Lie In April in 2022. I see Death Note as this total international, breaking the glass ceiling of what manga can be musically, around the world,' Wildhorn recently told BroadwayWorld.

Liberdade, Liberdade – O Musical premieres March 13 at Cia. da Revista, offering a contemporary reimagining inspired by the landmark 1965 play Liberdade, Liberdade by Millôr Fernandes and Flávio Rangel. The original production, created during the early years of Brazil’s military dictatorship, became a symbol of artistic resistance before being censored and banned shortly after its debut. This new musical adaptation revisits that legacy through a modern lens, combining theater, live music, and choreography to explore themes of freedom, democracy, and artistic expression. Set in the atmosphere of a fictional rock festival, the production features 16 performers and a live band, creating an energetic theatrical experience that connects Brazil’s cultural history with contemporary reflections on liberty and social dialogue.
