Mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught to sing    Marguerite in Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra'S Damnation of Faust March 8-10 New York - International Irish mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught will step in this week with the acclaimed Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall, where she will perform Marguerite in the symphony's March 8 and 10 concerts of Berlioz's Damnation of Faust.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to present Noel Coward's classic comedy Hay Fever. This madcap play about a weekend with the eccentric Bliss family will star the MFA Class of 2020 and a guest performer.  Director Jerrold Scott's production will take the audience back to the 1920's and remind them of the joy of life and fear of boredom. The show will run from February 27th-March 9th in Helen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

Lyric Opera of Kansas City General Director and CEO Deborah Sandler today announced its 2019-2020 season. The season includes four mainstage productions at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, including spectacular productions of The Abduction from the Seraglio and Lucia di Lammermoor that are new to Kansas City, a beloved production of La boh me that was built right here by Lyric Opera, and the KANSAS CITY PREMIERE of The Shining. All performances will be accompanied by members of the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra. 

Ashley Wheater, The Mary B. Galvin Artistic Director of The Joffrey Ballet, proudly announces an impressive 2019-2020 season featuring a Chicago premiere from Northern Ballet Artistic Director Cathy Marston, along with a Chicago premiere from Tony Award-winning choreographer and New York City Ballet Resident Choreographer Justin Peck, plus the return of an audience favorite by choreographer Yuri Possokhov, and Christopher Wheeldon's holiday classic The Nutcracker. The Joffrey Ballet begins its 64th season with Marston's modern re-telling of Jane Eyre, October 16-27, 2019, followed by Wheeldon's magical holiday classic The Nutcracker, November 30-December 29, 2019. For its winter engagement, the Joffrey presents a mixed repertory program that includes the Chicago premiere of Peck's acclaimed The Times Are Racing, the Chicago premieres of Mono Lisa and The Sofa by Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili, Wheeldon's Commedia, and Bliss!, a new work from Stephanie Martinez, winner of the Joffrey's 2015 Winning Works choreographic competition, February 12-23, 2020. Closing the season is the return of Possokhov's Don Quixote, April 22- May 3, 2020, which received its world premiere in Chicago in 2011.

Following an exhilarating 2018-19 season, Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier theatre company, announced the productions that will comprise its 2019-20 season. Highlights include the hilarious maritime musical, ANYTHING GOES; the satirical farce, IT'S ONLY A PLAY; the Tony Award-winning musical, NEWSIES; the Broadway sci-fi cult musical, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS; the sidesplitting play, LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR; and the critically-acclaimed musical, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Actors' Equity Association announced today that it reached an agreement with Norwegian Cruise Line to cover members on the cruise line's new ship, the Norwegian Bliss. From May 3 - May 5 while in New York, the Norwegian Bliss was under Equity Agreement, marking the first time that a full Equity cast has been used on a cruise ship.

Accelerating his arrival as Music Director by two seasons, Yannick Nezet-Seguin will take up the post in time for the start of the Metropolitan Opera's 2018-19 season, it was announced today.

The audience was there to be thrilled on Tuesday, when the Met's new Music Director, Yannick Nezet-Seguin, took on Wagner's DER FLIEGENDE HOLLANDER (THE FLYING DUTCHMAN) and they weren't disappointed. It was a musically glorious performance with the Met orchestra in peak form under its new maestro, the company's great chorus both charming and energetic, and the cast of principals marvelous, led by baritone Michael Volle in the title role and soprano Amber Wagner as Senta.

Future Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts his first Wagner opera with the company, Der Fliegende Holländer, beginning April 25. The opera, which has not been seen at the Met since 2010, featuresMichael Volle as the Dutchman, the ghostly sailor damned to sail the seas in search of the love that will set him free. Amber Wagner sings the role of Senta, opposite Jay Hunter Morris as the huntsman Erik. The cast also features Dolora Zajick as Senta's nurse Mary with Ben Bliss as the Steersman and Franz-Josef Selig as Senta's father Daland. 

The 2017 event will return to Ramstein Air Base in Germany – the site of the inaugural Classic in 2012 – this time showcasing Texas A&M against West Virginia.

The Radicalization of Rolfe, winner of 2016 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award, re-opens as part of the Fringe Encore Series 2016 at The Soho Playhouse, 15 Vandam Street, New York City on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Written by Andrew Bergh and directed by Abigail Zealey Bess, The Radicalization of Rolfe is inspired by the backstory of the lesser-known but vital secondary characters in the legendary musical The Sound of Music. "A tone perfect production," the New York Times declares it is "a play that was just as much fun as - and cleverer than - it promised to be."
