New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. A whole lot happened in Oz before Dorothy dropped in, and Wicked has been telling that story to Broadway audiences for 15 years at the Gershwin Theatre. The milestone won't go by uncelebrated, as in just days, NBC will throw a joyous Halloween party for the ages, featuring songs from the blockbuster musical hit and a cavalcade of special guest stars, including Tony Award winners Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Additional guest performers include Ariana Grande, Adam Lambert, Ledisi, Pentatonix and the current Broadway company of 'Wicked.' 'A Very Wicked Halloween' airs tonight, October 29th at 10PM ET/PT on NBC.

Tony Award-winning actress, singer and performer Idina Menzel's music video for her studio version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is out now. Watch/share the video HERE. The song comes from her upcoming album idina: live which is slated for release October 12. Max Hatt / Edda Glass's 'unique sound' (Larry Groce, NPR) and 'incomparable spook" (Nashville Scene) have taken them from playing the Montana restaurant scene to NPR Mountain Stage, New York City's Lincoln Center, D.C.'s The Kennedy Center, the Sundance Film Fest, and Wilco's Solid Sound Festival. Their story comes full circle this summer and fall, when they return to the West to play performing arts centers and venues in Missoula, Helena, Bozeman, Idaho Falls, and Cody, WY. Montanans may remember Max Hatt / Edda Glass as the Brazilian band Rio, featured on Montana-PBS's 11th and Grant Show with Eric Funk. To this tropical repertoire, Max Hatt / Edda Glass will add their award-winning original Jazz Americana, deeply rooted in the Western landscape, as well as their unique interpretations of pop and jazz standards. Porchlight Music Theatre concludes its fifth season of Chicago's "lost" musicals in staged concert series with Porchlight Revisits Do Re Mi, starring Porchlight Music Theatre's Artistic Director Michael Weber and Nancy Voigts, music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and book by Garson Kanin, with direction and choreography by Christopher Pazdernik and musical direction by David Fiorello. Porchlight Revisits Do Re Mi is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, May 22 through Thursday, May 24 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's Memphis (previews begin April 19) at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street.
