VIDEO: New York City Ballet Teases 2021-22 Season in New Trailer

The season will include 16 weeks of repertory performances, including a four-week Fall Season (September 21 – October 17, 2021), six-week Winter Season (January 18 – February 27, 2022), and six-week Spring Season (April 19 – May 29, 2022).  See attached season calendars for complete programming information.

About a week after the ball dropped in Times Square and ended 2020, I swore off acting on Zoom. It had been a good run. I hadn’t reached the decision out of frustration or disappointment. I was just burned out. From the beginning of lockdown in New York to the start of 2021, I was acting into my computer anywhere between two and nine times a week: improv shows, improv classes, sketch shows, character classes, a Shakespeare play, a film noir radio play—if I had the time I would do it. While these shows and classes were fun and stimulating, acting day after day in my bedroom, to my laptop, was getting exhausting. I planned to step away for a little while to choose my next move. Enter: Atlantic Acting School.

British stage director Netia Jones put her singular stamp on a production of Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream seen at the Santa Fe Opera on August 4, 2021. Performed in the opera house, it was simulcast to the lower parking lot where hundreds of patrons watched from the safety of their cars. One can take the entire family in the car.

The cast and director will pick up where they left off to deliver an exceptional comedy. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella will dazzle audiences during the holiday season, 9 to 5 will make audiences smile in January, A Midsummer Night's Dream put on by Stagecrafters Youth Theatre will take place in March, and Mamma Mia! will close the season with many laughs and smiles in May of 2022.

The Santa Fe Opera Announces Six Casting Updates For The 2021 Season

The Santa Fe Opera announces the following casting updates for the 2021 Season opening on July 10 and running through August 27: Laurie Feldman will direct The Marriage of Figaro after a concept by French Director Laurent Pelly, who is unable to travel to Santa Fe due to international travel restrictions and has therefore been following rehearsals and the progress of the production from France.
