Birdland Jazz Club has released jazz programming at Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater running November 21 through December 4. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include the Ken Peplowski Quartet, City Rhythm Orchestra, Paloma, Kurt Elling and Danilo Perez, Paloma and Frank Perowsky Orchestra.

Out-FRONT! Fest. will take place January 12–19, 2023, at The LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th Street, in Manhattan. All festival events are free (donations accepted).

From November 1 through 13, Birdland Jazz Club will present a variety of programming including Django Reinhardt NY Festival, Nicole Zuraitis, Alexis Cole, Peter Cincotti and The Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra Directed by David DeJesus.

The Soraya brings together the sounds of Nicaragua and  Venezuela for a special one-night only pairing of the Grammy Award-winning artists Luis  Enrique + C4 Trío with special guest Nella. Acclaimed for taking the Venezuelan four-string  cuatro international, “El Príncipe de la Salsa,” Luis Enrique will be joined by C4 Trío to headline  the evening.

Combining euphoric breakdowns and a slick, pulsating bassline with Aluna’s vocals, ‘Kiss It Better’ is vocal-driven dance music at its very best. The track sees her continue her flurry of recent collaborative releases that includes ‘Mine O’ Mine’ with Jayda G, ‘Nowhere To Hide’ with Prettyboy D-O and Kooldrink, and ‘Follow You’ with Kornel Kovacs.

Agression were on the front lines as they fused the union between skateboarding and punk rock cultures.

BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) will honor the multiple award-winning songwriter/rapper/producer and actor Busta Rhymes with the BMI Icon Award at its 2022 R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are proudly open this June with a full slate of nightly performances! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the Liebman, Brecker, Copland Quintet, Greg Ruvolo Big Band, Yellowjackets, Terraza Big Band, Anita Gillette and Lee Roy Reams, Frank Catalano Quartet, Danilo Perez & His Global Messengers, New London Big Band, Stacey Kent, Ron Aprea Big Band, Linda Lavin and Tuck & Patti.

The one-off show will see the Dutch electro pioneers perform a 44 minute assault of classic songs, performing 8 minute versions of tracks from their second studio album. Minny Pops will also be joined on the night  by Finnish electronic music duo Pihka Is My Name, and cyberpunk pop-star Huxlxy.

Below, you'll find details on all jazz programming at Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater running May 2 - May 15. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Bill Charlap Trio and Solo, Andy Farber and his Orchestra, and NYC All-City Latin Ensemble and the Fat Cats. Downstairs at Birdland Theater, you'll find Anaïs Reno Quartet, Lauren Henderson Quartet, Steve Slagle Band, Mafalda Minnozzi, Kristen Lee Sergeant and The Royal Bopsters with special guest Sheila Jordan. Regular events include David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, Frank Vignola's Guitar Night, Birdland Big Band and Arturo O'Farrill & The Latin Jazz Ensemble.

CROSSROADS is a dance, film, and cross-disciplinary performance series curated and presented by Pioneers Go East Collective. The spring 2022 series will feature works by 10 artists with diverse aesthetic and conceptual approaches to performance and storytelling.  CROSSROADS will take place Thursday–Saturday, May 26–28, at 8pm, at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South (between Thompson and Sullivan Streets), in Manhattan.
