The Washington Ballet's beloved production of The Nutcracker returns to THEARC Theater November 23-24 and at the historic Warner Theatre November 30-December 29, 2019. Set to Tchaikovsky's magical score, this celebrated holiday favorite has become the signature Nutcracker in our nation's capital. With 40 performances and special events for families and military personnel, 45,000 patrons will enjoy The Nutcracker this season.

Based on the psychiatric writing of famed political theorist Frantz Fanon and combining narratives, sensory exploration, and scientific and historical analysis, HERE ARE THE FRAGMENTS. reflects on the relationships between identity, history, racism, and mental health. FRAGMENTS. will run November 19 to December 1 at The Theatre Centre (Opening Night November 21).

Hard to believe, on Jan. 12, 1959, Berry Gordy, Jr. borrowed $800 from his family to begin Tamla Record Company as part of Motown Records Corporation in Detroit. The company was briefly known as Hitsville USA before becoming the soundtrack of life, Motown. Motor City Nights brings this significant time in American music history with its tribute show on the M Pavilion stage at The M Resort Spa and Casino on Oct. 19.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF) honors the great French composer Michel Legrand, who died in January this year, with a special Cin Salon series devoted to his life and work. 'Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations' opened March 21, at Broadway's legendary Imperial Theatre. However, many fans of the Temptations music may not know the group's long and complicated history. 

Boyfriends Ben Levi Ross and Taylor Trensch have both played Evan Hansen - on tour and on Broadway respectively, in addition to playing opposite each other on Broadway (with Ross as Jared.) Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre company, continues its 32nd Season with Always... Patsy Cline by Ted Swindley. Always...Patsy Cline is a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. Always... Patsy Cline will run from February 8th until February 24th- Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.

The upcoming remake of WEST SIDE STORY directed by Steven Spielberg, with a screenplay by Tony Kushner has announced additional casting according to Deadline. Ariana DeBose will star as Anita, Tony Award Winner David Alvarez as Bernardo, and Josh Andres Rivera has been cast as Chino.
