The Washington Ballet's beloved production of The Nutcracker returns to THEARC Theater November 23-24 and at the historic Warner Theatre November 30-December 29, 2019. Set to Tchaikovsky's magical score, this celebrated holiday favorite has become the signature Nutcracker in our nation's capital. With 40 performances and special events for families and military personnel, 45,000 patrons will enjoy The Nutcracker this season.

Based on the psychiatric writing of famed political theorist Frantz Fanon and combining narratives, sensory exploration, and scientific and historical analysis, HERE ARE THE FRAGMENTS. reflects on the relationships between identity, history, racism, and mental health. Hard to believe, on Jan. 12, 1959, Berry Gordy, Jr. borrowed $800 from his family to begin Tamla Record Company as part of Motown Records Corporation in Detroit. The company was briefly known as Hitsville USA before becoming the soundtrack of life, Motown. Motor City Nights brings this significant time in American music history with its tribute show on the M Pavilion stage at The M Resort Spa and Casino on Oct. 19.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF) honors the great French composer Michel Legrand, who died in January this year, with a special Cin Salon series devoted to his life and work.
