ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE Continues MTC MainStage's 32nd Anniversary Season In Norwalk

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre company, continues its 32nd Season with Always... Patsy Cline by Ted Swindley. Always...Patsy Cline is a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. Always... Patsy Cline will run from February 8th until February 24th- Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.

Always...Patsy Cline has enjoyed great success both off-broadway and across the nation. This show is based on a true story about Cline's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961. Seger continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. The musical, complete with down-home country humor, emotion, and even some audience participation, includes 27 of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as "Crazy", "I Fall to Pieces", "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight". The show's title was inspired by Cline's letters to Seger, which were consistently signed "Love ALWAYS... Patsy Cline."

Starring as Patsy Cline is Mia Scarpa, who most recently appeared in the ensemble of Evita at ACT of CT. Mia also appeared in MTC's production of The Bridges of Madison County as Marian. Other credits include Hello, Dolly (Dolly Levi), The Taffetas (Kaye), and Anything Goes (Erma).

Becky Barta will be starring as Louise Seger. Becky appeared in Broadway's Les Miserables as Mme Thenardier and in several seasons of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular as Mrs. Clause. She has a long history with Always... Patsy Cline, appearing in over 27 different productions across the country as either Louise, Patsy, or most recently, the associate director of the performance.

This production is directed by Pamela Hill, who is assisted by stage manager Jim Schilling. Tom Conroy is the Musical Director for the show. The creative team includes Tech Direction and Scenic Design by Kelly Burr Nelson, lighting design by Sammy Ross, sound design by Will Atkin, and costumes by Diane Vanderkroef.
