A new documentary film about the celebrated American artist, Edward Hopper, has just debuted with acclaimed reviews. Hopper: An American Love Story will have two exclusive screenings at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey on Wednesday, November 2 at 2pm and 7pm.

Music Mountain Theatre revisits the wild and wooly Roaring 20s when Thoroughly Modern Millie comes to the stage for a four-weekend run opening on September 16th and running through October 9th. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM.

There is much to love about this show. While this is an epic set in 14th century Norway, a lot of what is depicted rings just as true today. Choosing who to love, the bonds family holds, love, hope and despair. It's all there. While this musical is far from perfect, it has beautiful melodies and lyrics, while the book struggles as it has so much story to tell, and never really allows for time to breathe. But all in all it has enough going for it that the end result is really pleasing.

Adapted for the stage by Dan Gilvezan, the world premiere of The Secret World of Archy & Mehitabel brings the beloved New York Evening Sun columns by journalist Don Marquis to life. Moosie Drier directs for a September 10 opening at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, where performances continue every Saturday through October 15.

Since Kurt Vonnegut (1922 – 2007), the author of 'Slaughterhouse-Five,' would have been 100 this year, the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is celebrating the occasion by offering three of his charming stories in 'Who Am I This Time? (& Other Conundrums of Love.)'  Adapted by Aaron Posner, these humorous tales filled with heart take place in the small town of North Crawford, Connecticut in 1962.

Pennyroyal is a heartrending new play about sisterhood and motherhood; enduring love and regrets many years in the making. Theatre Tulsa Academy will start the theatre company’s 100th season with two youth productions in July, “Shrek Jr.” and “Into The Woods, Jr.” Theatre Tulsa Academy is an interactive theatre training program for youth.
