Syracuse Stage is one of only a few theatres across the country currently producing stage productions. The first production of their mainstage season is Talley’s Folly under the always superb and detailed direction of Syracuse Stage’s Artistic Director Robert Hupp. This fully staged production of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play has been filmed and is now available to patrons online through video on demand streaming.
The Hilliard Arts Council will present Talley’s Folly as a virtual production available for viewing from November 13th at 7:00am through November 15th at 11:30pm.
Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play takes place in a deserted Victorian boathouse on the Talley place in Lebanon, Missouri in 1944. Matt Friedman, an accountant from St. Louis, has arrived to plead his love to Sally Talley, the susceptible but uncertain daughter of the family. Bookish, erudite, totally honest, and delightfully funny, Matt refuses to accept Sally's rebuffs and her fears that her family would never approve of their marriage.

Meet Me in St. Louis features a book by Hugh Wheeler, songs by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, and is based on 'The Kensington Stories' by Sally Benson and the MGM motion picture Meet Me in St. Louis.
