The Old Globe today announced its latest cast and creative team as the illustrious actors in The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program expertly perform William Shakespeare's magical comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Jesse Perez, the program's Director of Professional Training and a noted actor (Off Broadway's Party People, the Globe's Romeo and Juliet, La Jolla Playhouse's Seize the King). The classical actors of tomorrow will bring to life a world filled with some of the Bard's most unforgettable characters and memorable moments. Twelfth Night will run November 2a?"10, 2019 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Northern Liberties Business Improvement District is letting the feathers fly as they come tapping and rapping for their first new event. The 1st Annual Poe Raid Relay Race and Party will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from Noon to 4:00pm. Teams of four people, all who will sport their best Poe costume, will pass a Raven across Northern Liberties, from 700 Fairmount to Liberty Lands Park.

Alistair McDowall's POMONA to Play Steep This Summer

Steep Ensemble Member Robin Witt will close out the company's 18th season with Alistair McDowall's Pomona. McDowall was the playwright behind Steep's 2015 hit Brilliant Adventures, which marked his U.S debut and was also directed by Witt. His work has been produced extensively, including productions at the Royal Court, the National Theatre, and the Royal Exchange. McDowall is a Bruntwood Prize winner and recipient of the 2018 Pinter Commission from the Royal Court. Robin Witt is a longtime director at Steep whose work includes the 2018 hit Linda and Cordelia Lynn's Lela & Co, which won 2018 Jeff Awards for Director, Production, and Performer in a Principal Role.
