Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presented the fifteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Angela Sclafani & Benjamin Velez. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Kate Baldwin on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

Boston Symphony Releases New CD Of Recent Commissions On Friday

Fresh from its two Grammy Award wins last February, the Boston Symphony Orchestra has added another CD to its extensive discography: recent Boston Symphony Orchestra commissions of works by American composers Timo Andres, Eric Nathan, Sean Shepherd, and George Tsontakis. BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra in recordings made live at Symphony Hall from February 2016 through February 2018.

The Actors' Gang Artistic Director Tim Robbins to join the cast of The Actors' Gang Theater's new production of 1984, written by George Orwell and adapted by Michael Gene Sullivan. In addition to Robbins portraying the show's antagonist a?oeO'Brien,a?? he will be serving as director, as previously announced. This marks Robbins' first time on stage since The Guys in 2005. 1984 began previews Thursday, October 10th and runs through Saturday, December 7th, with an official press opening on Saturday, October 19th.

Tibu Fortes will play Bert and Tom Joyner will play J R, directed by Ben Anderson. Jerker runs at the Kings Head Theatre between 30 October and 23 November 2019 (press night Friday 1 November).

AMC Networks has viewers covered this holiday season as the second annual “Best Christmas Ever,” returns with its largest slate of holiday programming to-date featuring over 60 films and specials airing all day, every day, and this year, expands to all five of AMC Networks. Beginning Monday, November 25 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming event will offer up more than 700 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films. AMC Networks will be the exclusive home to many holiday favorites including Elf, The Polar Express, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Miracle on 34th Street ('94), Four Christmases, Fred Claus and Rankin-Bass Christmas classics including The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Jack Frost, and Rudolph's Shiny New Year, among many others. The Actors' Gang Theater, home to over 38 years of provocative stories, opens its 2019-20 season with a new production of 1984, written by George Orwell, adapted by Michael Gene Sullivan, and directed by The Actors' Gang Artistic Director Tim Robbins. The play will begin previews Thursday, October 10th and run through Saturday, December 7th, with an official press opening on Saturday, October 19th.
