Bret Fetzer has been writing and telling his original fairy tales around Seattle for over 40 years. So he's written a lot of them! And quite a few are pretty damn entertaining. These American fairy tales -- tales that still have all the classic structures of European, Arabian, and Asian fairy tales, but are set in a fusion of Appalachia and the Dust Bowl era, featuring farmgirls, coal mines, cigarettes, automobiles, and other U.S. iconography -- walk a line between sweet and sardonic, spooky and just-might-break-your-heart. Fetzer will be telling a bunch of his best at the cozy Seattle Open Arts Place (formerly 18th & Union). Different tales will be told each night!
Seattle Open Arts Place is at 1406 18th Avenue, Seattle WA 98122, Seattle, WA.
