Get behind-the-scenes training in technical theater. Using "Sing Faster - the Stagehands' Ring Cycle" (a backstage view of building the San Francisco Opera's production of The Ring Cycle) as a launching point, we will explore the process of how a set design makes it to the stage: from the creation of plans; to tools and materials; and building flats, platforms, steps, doors, and windows. Stagecraft provides a great learning opportunity for all ages.

Intermediate Acting "Sleepy Hollow" with Ann Deacon
In a wickedly funny adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a classic tale of superstition and village rivalry, young actors will learn to develop a character, work in an ensemble, build skills in character make-up, costume changes, and backstage protocol -- all important skills to have but are often overlooked in many training programs.
