Skinny, created and performed by Michelle Pearson, explores the impact of societal beauty standards and the obsession with diet culture. Through a combination of powerful vocals, live music, and personal storytelling, Pearson invites audiences to reflect on self-worth and body image. The piece promises to be both confronting and empowering, as it challenges the norms surrounding beauty and acceptance. Directed by Amelia Ryan and featuring musical direction by Aaron Nash, Skinny runs from July 30 to August 10 at Underbelly Bristo Square.
