Cathy is a new comedy written and directed by Eilidh Loan, inspired by her grandmother and how she dealt with grief after losing her husband. The play stars Elaine C. Smith, returning to the Traverse main stage for the first time in 26 years, alongside Alan Orr, Sally Reid, and Michele Gallagher. A sharp-tongued widow navigates the approach of Christmas as long-buried truths surface, in a darkly comic and deeply humane world premiere production.
