Napa Valley Museum Yountville to Host “Splurge-Worthy Whiskies” Tastings

Our second Whisky Tasting, following April's sold-out Tartan Day celebration, concentrates on some of the best of the best. Nearly one-quarter of all Scotch whisky is sold in November and December, much of it as gifts as well as for entertaining. This 'splurge-worthy whiskies" tasting will allow participants to sample exceptional whiskies, including some rare and exclusive drams, further develop their palates, and learn from whisky expert James Forbes why these coveted spirits are worth the price (or not). 2018 Marquee Theater Journalists Association Award Winners Announced

San Francisco North Bay theater artists gathered Monday night at the Juncture Taproom and Lounge in Santa Rosa for the Third Annual Marquee Theater Journalists Association Awards. Seventeen awards were given to local theatre artists and productions whose nominations were culled from the sixty-six Sonoma County productions attended by members from September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018.

Coming to The Marsh Berkeley Cabaret this November, Don brings Bay Area audiences an evening of irreverent sketches, edgy stand-up, short films, and music. Event committee chair Adriana Lopez Vermut announced today that American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and Macy's Union Square will ring in the holiday season with the 2nd annual A Dickens of a Holiday, a festive, Dickens-inspired event on Sunday, December 16 in Holiday Lane at Macy's Union Square (255 Geary St., 7th Floor). Beginning at 11 a.m., guests will be treated to arts and crafts, strolling carolers, holiday-themed treats and libations, as well as special performances by cast members from A.C.T.'s celebrated production of A Christmas Carol and students from A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory (YC). Those who have purchased VIP event packages, which include tickets to the 1 p.m. performance of A Christmas Carol, will be escorted from Macy's to A.C.T.'s Geary Theater by a group of roaming carolers beginning at 12:30 p.m. A Dickens of a Holiday is free and open to the public.
