Open Mic Mondays

Join us every Monday in December at 9pm for the wildly popular Open Mic Monday Series. All art forms are welcome, and tickets are only $3; performers have 5 minutes to strut their stuff on the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe stage.

Mama Nature: A Hip Hop Musical by Gustav Gauntlett

Written entirely in rhyme, Mama Nature depicts the changing face of the urban environment. Featuring amazing actors, singers, emcees and a DJ, this all-ages play runs December 2nd and 3rd at 7pm, and December 4th at 6pm. Tickets are $15.

S.W.A.P. 2011 "A Year in Review from a Poet's Point of View"

The Spoken Word Almanac Project 2011 is a poetry and multimedia extravaganza that recaps the news events of 2011. A diverse group of NYC's finest performance poets infuses the news with rhythm, drama, humor and rhyme. December 15, 16, and 17 at 7pm, $10.
