Yekaterinburg State academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet is a ballet premiere 100-th theatrical season – "Amore" of "Loving Buffo the drink" by Donizetti. Choreographer-Director: Vyacheslav Samodurov talks about the new formulation: "Ballet Theatre is called" Buffo "Amore", which translates from Italian as "funny love". This will be a comedic performance, intended primarily for young audiences. The libretto is based on a slightly modified storyline of famous opera Gaetano Donizetti "L'Elisir d'Amore". As in the Opera, the main character, a young man in love, trying to win the heart of a girl with "love Elixir". However, the "Amore" Buffo "action will unfold against the backdrop of a modern metropolis. We have invited artists from the UK, with experience in theater and film, which itself should be interesting for the Ekaterinburg Viewer. Style of scenery can be called an architectural fantasy. Bringing the spectacle of urban elements, we wanted to convey the unique atmosphere of London. Created in the image of the City Theatre, which boils the most diverse life, gives viewers a new perspective on the familiar story. At the heart of the play is based on the classical motion choreography, dancers dance on Pointe, and plastics have become an integral part of the elements of Art Nouveau. The result was a fusion of classical and modern dance. I tried to make a play alive, natural, free of clichés and conventions pertaining to choreographic art, comprehensible to everyone.
