The NB ROOTS & BRANCHES FRINGE FESTIVAL returns with a diverse lineup that showcases storytelling, musical heritage, and cultural expression. Opening the event at 5:30 PM, Katie Castagno presents a folk-inspired set of originals, sharing her reflections on identity and social history. Following her, MWALIM DaPhunkee Professor takes the stage at 6:30 PM, blending blues, jazz, and funk with spoken word, drawing from his Mashpee Wampanoag and African American heritage. The festival concludes with The ZYG 808 at 7:30 PM, whose energetic fusion of R&B and hip-hop resonates with themes of youth and cultural identity.
