BWW Review: ANNIE at Providence Performing Arts Center
by Katelyn Corp - December 31, 2015
Proudly boasted as 'The World's Best-Loved Musical', Annie is a show most of us can say we've seen brought to life at least once. For this reviewer, the 1982 film adaptation of Annie was an early eye-opening introduction to the world of musical theater and the likes of legends such as Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, and Bernadette Peters. While countless productions have made their way to stages and screens around the world over the years, Annie still has a tight grip on our hearts.

Wilbury Group to Open 2016 with STUPID F***ING BIRD
by BWW News Desk - December 14, 2015
The Wilbury Theatre Group is proudly continues its 2015/16 season with the Rhode Island premiere of Stupid Fucking Bird (or, Stupid F#*%ing Bird), January 21-February 6, 2016. Written by acclaimed director and playwright Aaron Posner based on Anton Chekhov's masterpiece work, The Seagull, and directed by Mark Peckham, Stupid Fucking Bird is the smash hit play that The Washington Post describes as a 'savvy, petulant blitz through The Seagull that's less an adaptation of Chekhov's landmark drama than a funny, moving slugfest, a ripe mashup of mock and awe...sometimes it blows Chekhov up, and sometimes the play explodes with a genuinely Chekhovian release of emotion. The show is smart enough to have it both ways: It mines The Seagull for classical heft even while giving it the bird.'
