Shangri-La-La: The Siegfried & Roy Musical returns to New York for one performance as part of the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City.
Inspired by the true story of Siegfried & Roy, this funny and unconventional new comedy musical follows the legendary illusionists as they transform themselves—and Las Vegas—into a glittering spectacle of celebrity, fantasy, and carefully manufactured wonder. Blending original songs, magic, comedy, and a boldly theatrical visual world, Shangri-La-La explores the ambition, delusion, reinvention, and excess behind the duo’s rise.
Beneath the sequins and absurdity lies a distinctly American story about image-making, the seductive power of illusion, and what happens when the fantasy becomes larger than the people who created it.
This fast-moving, one-hour festival version will be presented Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Johnson Theater at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue, Manhattan.
