Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival presents the world premiere of "City of Ladies," written by Lorraine Liscio, directed by Myriam Cyr, and starring OBIE-winning actress Angela Pierce. Paris, 1418, the celebrated medieval writer Christine de Pizan dares to challenge the way women have been depicted, dismissed, and defined by men. Liscio's new play brings to the stage one of history's most audacious female voices in a story of words, power, war - and a woman who refuses to be silenced. Joining Pierce are Salma Qarnain, Garrett Lee Hendricks, Orson Cox, Molly Stern, Greg Stuhr, and Jason Pintar. 6 performances, September 5-13.
