An alluring gypsy, a handsome officer - two different worlds collide in Bizet’s timeless tale of fierce love with some of opera’s favorite music. Reenvisioned by Jonathan Eaton and Robert Frankenberry to take place in in a gypsy tavern and retold through the thrilling sounds of flamenco guitar, this beautiful orchestration has been reduced to provide a new look into a classic production. Artifacts, a persian rug emporium, provides a gallery of gorgeous antiques and objets d’art to set the scene of this intimate, irresistible, and dangerous love story. Partake of Mediterranean finger food and wine before the Saturday show, or tea and sweetmeats on Sunday, then recline on a pile of persian rugs to experience Carmen.
