Born the illegitimate child of a white British woman and an African American father, her difficult beginnings led to a miraculous life that took her from Britain to Paris to New York, where she eventually became a Cabaret sensation. A blending of storytelling and song, Mabel Madness takes the audience from location to location, weaving the details of Mercers incredible life with familiar tunes and loads of heart, thanks to Beverleys dynamic vocals and outstanding performance.Mabel Madness is written and performed by TONY Award Winner Trezana Beverley, Directed by Frances Hill and Peter Napolitano with Music Direction by Tuffus Zimbabwe.
