Stray Cat Theatre presents Eureka Day, Jonathan Spector’s sharply funny and provocative Tony-winning comedy about community, conviction, and what happens when good intentions collide. Set within the board of a small progressive school, the play begins with the seemingly manageable problem of a mumps outbreak. But as the crisis escalates, so do the arguments - about science, personal freedom, responsibility, identity, and who gets to decide what’s best for everyone else.

With razor-sharp dialogue and plenty of uncomfortable laughs, Eureka Dayexamines the fault lines that can turn a close-knit community against itself.

It’s a play about trying to do the right thing when nobody can agree on what “right” actually means.
