Such Good Friends is a documentary chronicling the Invisible Theatre of Tucson?s Pastime Players. For over 25 years, Susan Claassen, artistic director of the Invisible Theatre, has spearheaded this arts project. She, Gail Fitzhugh and a dedicated group of artists teach theatre, music and dance twice a week to exceptional education students. Verl, Danny, Beth, Janna, Meg and Jennifer have been members of this performance troupe. Their connections and ultimate friendship tells the story of two very different worlds coming together through the power of the arts.

The Vietnam War is the setting for Miss Saigon, the upcoming musical at the Arizona Broadway Theatre scheduled to run from April 17 through May 24, 2009. This classic love story, based on the Puccini opera Madame Butterfly, is brought up-to-date with music and lyrics by Alan Boubil and Claude-Michael Schönberg (the creators of Les Misérables), with an English translation by Richard Maltby, Jr.

Jessica L. Andrews has announced that she is stepping down from her role as Arizona Theatre Company?s Executive Director at the close of the 2008-2009 Season. Jessica Andrews will continue to work with Arizona Theatre Company on a consultant basis, contributing to ATC?s short and long-term goals. Kevin E. Moore will continue to serve as Arizona Theatre Company?s Managing Director, working closely with Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein.

25 Female Inmates Participate In ASU's Journey Home 3/28

On March 28 from 6 to 7 p.m., 25 incarcerated women, ages 18 to 50 from Estrella Jail will participate in ASU Gammage's Journey Home Program. Journey Home is an arts residency program designed to enable incarcerated women to discover a personal sense of constructive identity through performance, visual arts, creative writing and storytelling.

The charismatic warrior King?s aggressive pursuit of the French crown earns him iconic status, uniting England and France and briefly banishing the civil strife that will long outlive him.
