The cast of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical Shucked appeared on the TODAY Show this morning to perform their opening number, 'Corn.' The performance features Grey Henson, Ashley D. Over the weekend, Alex Newell, Grey Henson, and Ashley D. Kelley sat down on Good Morning America to discuss Shucked on Broadway. The segment also featured the show's viral fanbase, with some audience members also seeing the show up to 10 times. The video shared new production footage, including a look at the show's opening number, 'Corn.'

An all new song called “Somebody Will' has been released as the second single from the forthcoming Shucked – Original Broadway Cast Recording. Featuring Andrew Durand, leading man, the song is penned by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Check out the video here!

Broadway got a little bit corny week as Shucked celebrated its opening at the Nederlander Theatre. Titled 'Maybe Love',  the song is written and performed by the show’s composers Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, who collectively have earned three Grammy Awards and 18 Grammy nominations. Wrapping up the Encores! Off-Center season is  Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, running July 24-27. Directed and choreographed by Will Davis, with music direction by James Moore, Road Show tells the somewhat true story of the Mizner brothers who inherit a small fortune at the turn of the 20th Century and set out to grab their piece of the American Dream in a country where anything seems possible. The production will star Chuck Cooper (Papa Mizner), Raul Esparza (Wilson Mizner), Jin Ha (Hollis Bessemer), Mary Beth Peil (Mama Mizner), and Brandon Uranowitz (Addison Mizner).

Encores! Off-Center will close out its 2018 season this week (July 25 - 28) at New York City Center with Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, starring Rheaume Crenshaw, Dayna Dantzler, Aisha de Haas, James T. Lane, and Wayne Pretlow. The ensemble includes Alexandria Bradley, Marshall L. Davis Jr., CK Edwards, Jeffry Foote, Shonica Gooden, Nina Hudson, Marla McReynolds, and Amber Barbee Pickens.
