Working as perfect companion pieces, both Wild as the Night and Broken at the Break of Day will be released together on 180g vinyl in January, giving listeners the option to hear the two newest Fruition releases as a collective body of work in this playlist-focused era. Today, The National has released Juicy Sonic Magic via Americanmary.com, a 10-minute mini-documentary in conjunction with their Black Friday Record Store Release of the three-cassette box set entitled The National: Juicy Sonic Magic, Live in Berkeley, September 24-25, 2018. Directed by David DuBois, the film tells the story of late, great concert taper Mike “The Mike” Millard and an homage to his work that was undertaken by archivist and producer Erik Flannigan, who attempted to recreate the legendary taper's methods by using the same vintage cassette deck and microphones Millard employed in the '70s to record The National at two Greek Theatre concerts last year. Watch the minidoc below and find a record store near you at recordstoreday.com.

Olso's Das Body has shared a new single, “Against The Glass” via Luminelle Recordings. The track continues the band's tradition of crafting incredibly catchy 80's-influenced pop gems that led the UK's The Line Of best Fit to say they create, “the best parts of pop without making it overly saccharine in its delivery.” The single was produced by Jorge Elbrecht (Ariel Pink, Japanese Breakfast, Wild Nothing, Sky Ferreira). Of “Against The Glass” Das Body notes it, “is about the claustrophobic feeling when you realize what you've been working towards and finally achieved is only a result of the people around you looking out for their own interests.'

Melanie C has released her official music video for her brand new single, 'High Heels' today. Spanx founder Sara Blakely was revealed on 'CBS This Morning' as the buyer of Olivia Newton-John's famed black satin pants from 'Grease.' The pants, which sold for more than $162,000 at Julien's Auctions in California, will go on display at the Spanx headquarters in Atlanta, Blakely said.
