Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, two Broadway legends who first appeared together giving Tony Award winning performances in Evita, have brought their critically acclaimed theatre concert to the Barrymore Theatre for 63 performances through Friday, January 13. Much more than a concert, AN EVENING WITH PATTI LUPONE AND MANDY PATINKIN is a funny, passionate, intimate and unique musical love story told entirely through a masterful selection of some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage. Evita opened Friday, March 4th and runs through Sunday, March 20th, 2011; there will be no performances the week of March 7. The Public Theater began previews Tuesday, February 1 for the world premiere production of Rinne Groff's COMPULSION, directed by Oskar Eustis. The cast features Hannah Cabell, Matte Osian, and Mandy Patinkin, with puppet design and puppetry supervision by Matt Acheson. COMPULSION runs through Sunday, March 13 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street). The official press opening is tonight, February 17. A little Muppet girl with an afro is getting a lot of attention on YouTube and on a lot of news channels lately with stories on ABC and NPR to name a few. And the puppet has no name. But its creator does - it's Joseph Mazzarino - the head writer at Sesame Street. 'I Love My Hair' debuted on the Oct. 4 episode of Sesame Street and is a love letter from father to daughter. Mazzarino and his wife, Tony Nominatated actress, Kerry Butler are parents of 5-year-old, Segi, who they adopted from Ethiopia.

She recently added author and songwriter to her roster of achievements with her debut children's book Broadway Barks which debuted on The New York Times Bestseller list.
