We just had a BLAST this past Thursday at Broadway Sessions during our All-Star Open Mic Party! Along with guest host, Anthony Fett, and our incredible Open-Mic singers, we were joined by guest performers Carly Sakolove, Giuseppe Bausillio, Zurin Villanueva, Joel Waggoner, Lauren Elder, Josh Walker, Vishal Vaidya, Josh Bardier, Paul HeeSang Miller and Tim Young! Our fierce Open Mic-ers had a song in our heart, and we are so thrilled that they joined us and helped make it a night to remember!

Theatre Calgary is preparing to open Mary and Max - A New Musical, the second world premiere of the 2018-19 season, with music and lyrics by Bobby Cronin, book by Crystal Skillman, directed by Theatre Calgary's Artistic Director Stafford Arima, choreography by Jenn Rapp, and orchestrations and music supervision by Anna Ebbesen.

Last night The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. The one-night-only benefit performance, directed by Diane Paulus, took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall.

Helping Adam launch the show were Orange is the New Black's Annie Golden ('Norma Romano') and Lin Tucci ('Anita DeMarco'), plus Broadway's Lauren Elder (revivals of Hair & Side Show), and award-winning composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin (forthcoming Mary & Max). Broadway Sessions celebrated it's season finale recently. Nobody panic! Broadway Sessions will be back weekly beginning on September 7th. But of course we had to blow the roof of the joint 1 more time before parting. So we called upon friends, Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen), Kimber Elayne Sprawl (Beautiful), Lauren Elder (Side Show) and Matt DeAngelis (Waitress) to dazzle us 1 last time this summer. Rehearsals for the newly reimagined production of Side Show at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, running June 14 to July 13, 2014, kicked off today, with new faces joining the cast previously assembled at the La Jolla Playhouse. On Saturday, May 19, 2012 Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BwayPride.org) in conjunction with the TADA! Youth Theater joined over twenty-five Broadway, Off Broadway, and National Tour performers to remind everyone 'it gets better.' The song, which included TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, was done to promote equality and stop bullying. 'It Gets Better' was written in 2010 by composers, Jay Kuo & Blair Shepard after a string of LGBT suicides across the country. This song will be featured in Broadway Sings for Pride's Second Annual Gay Pride Concert on Monday, June 25, 2012 in Manhattan. For tickets and information, click here.
