Priscilla Queen of the Desert began previews last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre. It will have a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto before leaving for Broadway where it opens in March of 2011. Everyone involved will be quick to tell you that the real 'star' of the show is 'Priscilla' herself, and BWW was on hand as Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) introduced 'Priscilla' to the Toronto press. West Side Story opened at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) on Thursday, March 19, 2009. The original Jerome Robbins choreography is restaged by Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely (The Boy from Oz, The Life).
