Factory Theatre will present the world premiere of the provocative and unabashedly feminist new play Armadillos by Governor General’s Literary Award winner Colleen Wagner and directed by multi-award winning artist Jani Lauzon. Armadillos will be presented at Factory Theatre from June 3rd to 24th, 2023. 

Due to popular demand, The Land Acknowledgement, or As You Like It is returning for one more week – May 4 to 7, 2023 at the CAA Theatre.

David Mirvish presents the acclaimed Crow's Theatre production of The Land Acknowledgement, or As You Like It, the final show in the Off-Mirvish season. Written by and starring Cliff Cardinal, the production will play March 10 - April 2, 2023, at the CAA Theatre, 651 Yonge Street. Media night is March 14, 8 p.m. 

From November 8th – 13th, the Grand Theatre will welcome award-winning actor, Zorana Sadiq to its Auburn Stage for her powerful and mellifluous one-person play: MixTape – presented by Crow’s Theatre. 

At a press conference held at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 235 nominations for the 42nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto.

Today, Crow's Theatre Artistic Director Chris Abraham and Executive Director Sherrie Johnson unveiled a 12-show season that spans the classics, contemporary work, CanLit adaptations, musical theatre, dance, and music.

Following two seasons of darkened stages, restricted interactions, and limited live theatre, London’s Grand Theatre is lifting the curtain on its 2022/23 season - unveiling a full return to the stage with ten powerful productions, four world premieres, and an exhilarating five-concert series from Jeans ’n Classics.

For writer, performer, and musician Zorana Sadiq (Towards Youth, Crow's Theatre), sound is the first, last, and most influential sense. In the world premiere of her new solo show MixTape, directed by Crow's Theatre Artistic Director Chris Abraham, Sadiq invites her audience into a life experienced through sounds and an obsession with making them. 

Factory ends its innovative 20/21 season with a reimagining of the Canadian classic, THROUGH THE EYES by acclaimed playwright Don Druick. This radical new interpretation will be directed by award winning artist ahdri zhina mandiela, and star Zorana Sadiq as the Courtier.

Arriving in time for the holiday season with a limited engagement December 7, 2019 - January 5, 2020 at the Bluma Appel Theatreat the St. Lawrence Centre for the Performing Arts, rehearsals are underway in Toronto now with a diverse cast of performers from Canada, the UK, and US.

Sometimes you need a reminder that children are wise beyond their years, and CHILD-ISH is a stellar example of just how much kids learn from watching the world around them. Written by Sunny Drake alongside the CHILD-ISH Collective and directed by Alan Dilworth, the production is currently a work in progress but shows great potential through its handling of verbatim quotes from its child collaborators.

Making its world debut in the Project: Humanity and Crow's Theatre production, TOWARDS YOUTH brings five different drama classrooms from around the world, transitioning from Toronto to England, Greece, Taiwan, and India. Written by Andrew Kushnir based on his travels with Dr. Kathleen Gallagher to conduct her research on the narratives and cultures within drama classrooms, the play explores how the strains of society trickle into the lives of students.

Andrew Kushnir's latest work, TOWARDS YOUTH: A PLAY ON RADICAL HOPE, made its debut on February 28 at Streetcar Crowsnest's intimate Guloien Theatre. While the final product is a 2-hour examination of drama classrooms from around the world, Kushnir had to facilitate a detailed writing and editing process to bring months of research to the stage.

Canadian Rep Theatre Artistic Director Ken Gass is pleased to announce an exciting new production of the Carole Frechette classic, Helen's Necklace (translated by John Murrell). Directed by Gass, the production will feature three extraordinary actresses of varying racial/ethnic identities:  Akosua Amo-Adem, Zorana Sadiq and Helen Taylor. 

The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is proud to partner with Ken Gass and Canadian Rep Theatre to present Helen's Necklace by Carole Frechette November 15 - 18, 2018 in the Community Studio Theatre.

Highlights this season include world premieres from Steve Reich, Unsuk Chin, Christopher Rouse, and Louis Andriessen, as well as major stage productions from Tod Machover and Meredith Monk.
