New Children's Book 'The Great Race' is Released

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ Family-friendly publisher Mini Magellan today marked the first milestone in its effort to expand the horizons of parents and children around the world with the release of Jade Stars: The Great Race: How the Chinese Zodiac Came to Be, a children's book designed to be educational and entertaining for all members of the family. The book release comes during Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders living in the United States.

Pet Brands Team Up to Bring Bark at the Park Presented by AvoDerm Natural Pet Foods and Nylabone to Baseball Fans and Their Dogs This Season

Central Garden & Pet brands, AvoDerm Natural Pet Foods and Nylabone, are teaming up with Major League Baseball teams starting this Spring on a campaign to promote the powerful bonds between people and their pets. The centerpiece of the program is a series of Bark at the Park Presented by AvoDerm and Nylabone events at major league stadiums where dogs can join their families in the fun and excitement of a baseball game. Fans will be able to purchase tickets for themselves and their dogs, join in a pre-game pup rally and even march around the field in a pre-game parade. On average, about 500-600 dogs and their families at each game will participate in these extremely popular events. The season-long program will include in-store messaging at Petco and local independent retailers, public service announcements, national PR and media, charitable fundraising and direct engagement with fans at ballparks across the country.

Mark Ruffalo Named New School for Drama's 2014 Artist-in-Residence

Acclaimed actor and director Mark Ruffalo will share his reflections on for stage and film to students and faculty as The New School for Drama's 2014 Artist-in-Residence. As Artist-in-Residence, Ruffalo will join a master class for The New School for Drama's community of graduate students of acting. He will also speak with undergraduate and graduate acting, directing and playwriting students and faculty in an open forum on Tuesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Arnhold Hall, 55 W. 13th Street, 5th floor, moderated by Pippin Parker, director of The New School for Drama.

Columbia Pictures to Co-Produce Jiang Wen's GONE WITH THE BULLETS

Columbia Pictures announced principal photography has commenced on Jiang Wen's 3D feature film 'Gone With The Bullets,' through hisproduction company with Ma Ke, Buyilehu.This is the highly anticipated second film in the Bullets Trilogy that began with the 2010 hit feature 'Let The Bullets Fly' ('Rang zidan fei'), which Jiang directed. The first feature was one of the highest grossing domestic Chinese releases in recent years, grossing over US$140 million at the worldwide box office, including RMB 720m in China. 'Gone with the Bullets' will be distributed inChina by Buyilehu, and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI).
