Act II Playhouse in Ambler, PA announces its 2020-2021 season.

Due to the rapidly changing public health recommendations around COVID-19, Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) will postpone its upcoming productions of The Lowell Offering and Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End.

Walnut Street Theatre (WST) continues its 211th season with Gore Vidal's thrilling political drama, THE BEST MAN. Directed by Broadway veteran Michael Wilson, the production begins previews on March 10, opens March 18, and continues through April 26 on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Greenville Theatre donors, sponsors, and advertisers were treated to a musical 'season reveal' at the annual announcement party on January 26. Executive Artistic Director Allen McCalla thanked the attendees for their continued support before expressing his delight with the remarkable body of work being presented in the upcoming season.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) will present its critically acclaimed production of Nina Simone: Four Women, first staged last spring with Northlight Theatre in Chicago, to Lowell from February 12 to March 8 only at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre, according to Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas and Interim Artistic Director Terry Berliner.

The Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) Board of Trustees and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas announced today that Courtney Sale, Artistic Director of Seattle Children's Theatre, will become the Nancy L. Donahue Artistic Director here in March. She will be the first woman to serve as artistic director and the first to fill the position since it was named in honor of Founding Chair Nancy L. Donahue.

Florida Repertory Theatre has announced the opening of 'An Inspector Calls' by J.B. Priestley to continue it's 2019-2020 Season. Playing in the Historic Arcade Theatre Dec. 6-22, the run includes four nearly sold-out previews Dec. 3-5.

For those of a certain age, growing up included reading or hearing the voices of columnists and commentators like Paul Harvey, Dear Abby, Howard Cosell, and Erma Bombeck . In fact Erma and Abby had columns that often ran side by side. Dear Abby gave advice and Erma commented on the every day life of American housewives. While all of these names will be lost on millennials, everyone over 45 years old will have some memory of these folks. A production of the one act play 'ERMA BOMBECK: AT WIT'S END' is playing at Shea's 710 Theatre through November 10th after it's successful run at Rochester's Geva Theatre, and includes the same cast. That is, a cast of one.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) announced today that critically acclaimed Boston actress Karen MacDonald will star next April in Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End by Allison Engel and Margaret Engel, and Terry Berliner, MRT's Interim Artistic Director, will direct.

Arizona Theatre Company (Sean Daniels, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) announces that Silent Sky, written by the nation's most-produced playwright two of the last three years, Lauren Gunderson,is coming to stages in Tucson and Phoenix.

President of Shea's Performing Arts Center, Michael G. Murphy is pleased to announce the Western New York premiere of Erma Bombeck a?oeAt Wit's Enda?? at Shea's 710 Theatre will replace the cancelled national tour of Xanadu. RWS Entertainment Group announced the cancellation of a?oeXanadua?? earlier this week. Shea's 710 will be presenting Rochester's Geva Theatre's production of At Wit's End starring syndicated columnist Pam Sherman as Erma following its sold-out run at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts this September.

Horizon Theatre Company is continuing its outstanding 35th Anniversary Season with one of the most critically acclaimed plays of the past decade, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Winner of 7 Olivier Awards and 5 Tony Awards including 'Best Play,' the show brings Mark Haddon's beloved best-selling novel to thrilling life on stage, adapted by two-time Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens.  Horizon Theatre Company's Atlanta premiere starts performances September 20, 2019 (Press Opening September 27, 2019) and runs until October 27, 2019 at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points/Inman Park (1083 Austin Avenue N.E., Atlanta, GA 30307)  Atlanta. This show is a co-production between Horizon Theatre Company and Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This production will move to Aurora for a run from January 9 through February 9, 2020. The play is sponsored in part by The Marcus Autism Center, a subsidiary of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and Osiason Educational Foundation.

Actress/playwright/stand-up comedian Nancy Redman returns to the United Solo Theatre Festival with her new one-woman show At Wit's End: A Home for Retired Comics, directed by Bill Cosgriff, Saturday October 19 at 2 PM at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street. Nancy is delighted to have as director of her new show the multi-talented Bill Cosgriff, an award winning playwright, actor, and director. Nancy's past three appearances on the United Solo Theatre Festival - the world's largest solo theatre festival currently in its 10th anniversary season - earned her three special awards. For her one-woman shows: The Doctor Is Not In and CLUTTER: I'm Saving My Life and It's Killing Me, she was honored with the Best Comedian Award. For her EMERGENCY A La Carte, she was named Best Stand-Up.

Chicagoans, lend me your ears: SOMETHING ROTTEN! has landed in Lincolnshire (the one due north of Chicago, not the one due east of Liverpool), and Marriott Theatre's regional premiere is a must-see for fans of musicals, Shakespeare, and comedy. Nominated for ten Tony Awards when it opened on Broadway in 2015, this madcap musical by Karey Kirkpatrick, John O'Farrell, and Wayne Kirkpatrick is in excellent hands with director Scott Weinstein, choreographer Alex Sanchez, and music director Ryan T. Nelson.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) today announced last season's a?oe2 Tickets for $40a?? special, created last year in honor of its 40th Anniversary Season, will continue for the 2019-20 Season, which opens September 11 with Tiny Beautiful Things. The theatre will also introduce a subscription for students and expand its discount periods for educators and military families.

Baltimore Center Stage has announced the addition of award-winning playwright and community organizer Annalisa Dias to its staff.  Dias, co-founder of the DC Coalition for Theatre & Social Justice, will serve as the theater's Director of Artistic Partnerships and Innovation.
