United Solo Announces THE BEST OF Category, Celebrating Artistic Achievement

There has never been a lack of extraordinary talent at United Solo. Year by year, audiences have witnessed some of the most amazing solo artists from all over the world share their talents and stories. Some of these artists have made a particularly incredible mark on the audience's hearts through their performances on the United Solo stage at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in Manhattan. Therefore, during the first two weeks of the 10th anniversary season of United Solo, nearly thirty award-winning performers will be gracing the stage once again in THE BEST OF category.

Dream Theater Release Debut Single From DISTANCE OVER TIME

There is a palpable excitement level surrounding two-time Grammy-nominated and millions-selling progressive music titans, Dream Theater and their upcoming 14thstudio album, Distance Over Time. On the heels of two recently released tracks, “Untethered Angel” and “Fall Into The Light” (both of which have received millions of plays to date via YouTube and Spotify), the band returns with their first official single from their February 22nd release. “Paralyzed” is quintessential Dream Theater; a song that showcases the band's unique ability to write memorable melodies backed with unique song structures and maestro-level musicianship all at a radio-friendly running time of 4:18. The song will be impacting Active Rock and Metal radio later this month. Wayne Joyner, who also imagined the clip for “Fall Into The Light”, created the animated video for the song. Kennedy Center Presents the 17th Annual Page-to-Stage New Play Festival

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts its 17th annual Page-to-Stage New Play Festival from Saturday, September 1 through Monday, September 3, 2018. The festival is a free three-day celebration of local theater featuring more than 60 companies from the D.C. metropolitan area. Theaters and artists in Page-to-Stage present open rehearsals, concert readings, and workshops of new plays that are often still in the development phase. Audience members may choose to engage in the creation through participatory activities or partake in post-presentation discussions with the artists, helping to shape future productions of the playwrights' works.

Virginia Rep Presents CRIMES OF THE HEART At The Hanover Tavern

Virginia Rep opens the Southern Gothic comedy Crimes of the Heart on Friday, July 20 at the Hanover Tavern, the final show of the 2017-18 Hanover Season. Written by Beth Henley, this American theatre classic follows the Magrath sisters as they reunite to escape their past in the hopes of a better tomorrow, however, their present reality offers hilarious and troublesome obstacles.This Pulitzer Prize-winning play takes a touching and irreverent look at sisterhood and what it means to find yourself amidst despair. Bristol Riverside Theatre Makes 2018-2019 Season Announcement

Bristol Riverside Theatre announces its 2018-2019 season including a world premiere musical, a Neil Simon comedy, an American classic, a one-woman tour-de-force, and a stirring contemporary drama by an Obie Award-winning playwright.  The new season features The Rivals with book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg and music by Stephen Weiner; The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon; On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson; Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End; and The Christians by Lucas Hnath.

Virginia Rep Announces The Extension Of ERMA BOMBECK: AT WIT'S END

Due to extraordinary popular demand, Virginia Rep is pleased to announce the second extension of the one-woman play, Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End, starring Catherine Shaffner as the humorist/housewife, Erma Bombeck. Before the show opened, the play (originally slated to close on April 8th) was extended one week to close on to April 15th. The hilariously entertaining show, directed by John Moon, has been met with such popular and critical acclaim, an additional two week extension has been announced.
