Creative Schools Will Expand Initiative For Arts in Schools

Following a successful first phase which saw Creative Schools praised as a sector-leading model for the way schools and cultural institutions can work together, Stratford Circus Arts Centre has successfully applied for funding to continue the programme for a further three years. The new phase will also see an expansion to cover a total of six east London boroughs: Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Newham, where Stratford Circus is based.

Alyssa Fox, Joseph Medeiros Kick Off 4th Season Of MADAME'S SOIREE

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Alyssa Fox (Frozen, Wicked) and Joseph Medeiros (Three Tall Women, West Side Story) as guests of honor at the January edition of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. This will be the kickoff of the show's fourth season at The Duplex. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

BE MORE CHILL Karaoke Available Today From Ghostlight Records

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater have announced the release of BE MORE CHILL Karaoke (Original Cast Recording) to celebrate the Broadway-bound musical sensation, available today, Tuesday, January 22. The EP's seven tracks - based on the show's Original Cast Recording - include fan favorites 'More Than Survive,' 'I Love Play Rehearsal,' 'The Squip Song,' 'Two-Player Game,' 'A Guy That I'd Kinda Be Into,' 'Michael in the Bathroom,' and 'The Pitiful Children.'

DEATH HOUSE will preview on Tuesday, January 15 at 8pm; Wednesday, January 16 at 8pm & Thursday, January 17 at 8pm and will open today, January 18 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 10 at the Road Theatre on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Rev. Shawn Amos Returns To Blackbox @ The Edye At The Broad Stage

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents the return of The Reverend Shawn Amos for A Night in Harlem on Friday, February 1 at 8:00pm. In celebration of African American History Month, blackbox curator, Amos, returns to the stage for an evening of songs and storytelling - presenting songs from his album, Harlem, for the first time in ten years. The American roots song cycle tells the story of 1920s black Americans' migration from the south to Harlem. Amos' album was inspired by the artists, songs and legacy of the Harlem Renaissance.

Tickets for King Kong are now on sale through September 1, 2019. The new Broadway musical is playing at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) where it opened on Thursday, November 8 (previews began October 5, 2018).

On December 4, The New York City Children's Holiday Party brought nearly 800 children from 38 different homeless shelters to experience the epic musical King Kong. After the performance, each child received gifts and a backpack with educational supplies and departed the show with a merry send-off from Santa Claus.

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater will celebrate the vinyl edition of the BE MORE CHILL Original Cast Recording with an exclusive in-store signing and performance at Barnes & Noble on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00 PM. The event will include original cast members featured on the 2015 Two River Theater cast recording: Gerard Canonico, Katlyn Carlson, Stephanie Hsu, Lauren Marcus, and George Salazar. Along with Joe Iconis, who wrote the music and lyrics, they will perform musical selections and sign albums.
