King Kong has announced that it will have a digital lottery!

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, present the second show of its 2018-2019 season, the world premiere of DEATH HOUSE, written by Jason Karasev and directed by Michael Peretzian. DEATH HOUSE will preview on Tuesday, January 15 at 8pm; Wednesday, January 16 at 8pm & Thursday, January 17 at 8pm and will open on Friday, January 18 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 10 at the Road Theatre on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Lianah Sta. Ana (Miss Saigon, Women on Fire) and Jesse Swenson (Spring Awakening, The Addams Family) as guests of honor at the November edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

Using Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack's 1933 cinema classic 'King Kong' as the inspiration for a musical theatre piece really isn't such a bad idea. Among the film's notable achievements is the extraordinary dramatic underscoring music by Max Steiner, that supplied the title character's tragic death plunge from atop the Empire State Building with the kind of heartbreaking emotion that would make any operatic tenor jealous.

The new musical King Kong opens on Broadway tonight, Thursday November 8, at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). The cast is led by Christiani Pitts, (A Bronx Tale) as Ann Darrow, Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia!) as Carl Denham, and Erik Lochtefeld (Misery, Metamorphoses) as Lumpy.

After a week-long contest, BroadwayWorld is excited to announce the winner of our King Kong ticket giveaway! Lauren McMillen from West Virginia is our lucky winner! She is a producer at a local news station & a huge Broadway fan! McMillen won two tickets to the November 9th performance of King Kong on Broadway.
