Chester Theatre Company has announced their 37th annual summer season, building off last year's success under new Co-Artistic Directors Christopher Baker and Michelle Ong Hendrick.

How do you know when an audience has bought into your performance? The answer depends greatly on the type of show you’re producing: In the case of the jukebox musical, Escape to Margaritaville, maybe you find the entire audience singing the call-and-response before you tell them to!

On Sunday, May 25, The National Memorial Day Concert will air live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, featuring performances from Tony-nominee Mary McCormack, The Greatest Showman's Loren Allred, and more.

The autumn show at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Whitby Rebels, is now on and runs until Saturday 2 November. 

Casting has been announced for the autumn show at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Whitby Rebels. Keith Bartlett, Kieran Foster, Jacqueline King, Duncan MacInnes, Jacqueline Naylor and Louise Mai Newberry will be directed by the SJT’s Artistic Director, Paul Robinson, in the new show by Bea Roberts which runs from 18 October to 2 November.

A year of shows from Scarborough's SJT has been unveiled, including adaptations of two classic novels, two stirring Yorkshire stories, a sparkling Christmas show and the 90th play, no less, from the SJT's Director Emeritus, Alan Ayckbourn.

This captivating young adult fantasy novel by Christopher Leigh Dodson weaves a tale of resilience, unity, and the indomitable human spirit. Available for purchase on October 31, 2023.

In the tense and gripping documentary feature THE VOLCANO: Rescue From Whakaari, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Rory Kennedy tracks the minute-by-minute unfolding of the tragic volcanic eruption off the coast of New Zealand in December of 2019, ultimately claiming 22 lives. The Young Vic Theatre today announces a new production of Further than the Furthest Thing, the award-winning play and haunting modern classic by Zinnie Harris (This Restless House, How To Hold Your Breath), directed by Young Vic Associate Director and Genesis Fellow Jennifer Tang (AI, Mountains: The Dreams of Lily Kwok).

A modest audience was drawn into the reeks and roars of a rare production of Seamus Heaney’s The Cure at Troy on Saturday night around the intimate, runway-style stage at Quintessence Theater in Philadelphia, directed by Alexaner Burns. Actor Steven Anthony Wright leaving a definitive stamp on a challenging role as the savaged Philoctetes.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent work selected across the Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

Today at the collation the director Staffan Aspengren announced that the show will go on as scheduled and open the 19th of September. The size of the audience will be in line with the recommendation size max 50 people. If there is a change in the recommendation it will be adapted to.

The premiere performance moved the audience out of their seats for a standing ovation.
