Dancap Productions Inc. has announced the Canadian Premiere of THE TOXIC AVENGER, an eco-monster musical comedy based on the 1984 Lloyd Kaufman classic cult film. Tony Award winner Bill Irwin will lend his talents to a gala benefit for New York University's Maison Française. Irwin will read a selection of Alexis de Tocqueville's Letters from America. The gala takes place at 6:30PM on Monday, November 9 at the Hotel Carlyle.

Albert Camus' rarely-seen 1948 play THE MISUNDERSTANDING will be performed Off-Broadway this fall, with preview performances beginning October 29 prior to an official press opening on November 2, 2009 at The Flea Theatre (41 White Street) in Manhattan.
The 2009 Theatre Hall of Fame inductees have been revealed and include such icons as actors Jim Dale, John McMartin and Lynn Redgrave; producers Roger Berlind and Ted Mann; composers Stephen Schwartz and Andrew Lloyd Webber; and, posthumously, the late playwright/actor Charles Ludlum. The Annual Theatre Hall of Fame ceremony, now in its 39th year, will be held Jan. 25, 2010, in the Gershwin Theatre's North Rotunda. Terry Hodge Taylor is producing the event.
