BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present renowned pianist and singer Billy Stritch and award-winning jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli in the return of their special show “Mel and Ella Swing!” on Monday, June 5 at 7:00 PM.

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party, which is about to celebrate two decades at the iconic Birdland in NYC, seems to be entering a Golden Age of entertainment! Over the past few months the room has been packed with audiences eager to cheer the impromptu open mic/variety show made up of Broadway performers, cabaret divas, jazzers, and a few acts impossible-to-describe!

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present a special musical evening with three great musical talents Victoria Shaw, Jim Brickman, and Peter Cincotti, in the return of “Three Friends – One Piano” on Monday, May 8 at 7:00 PM.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the New York solo concert debut of Brittney Johnson – who made history as the first Black actress to play “Glinda” in Broadway’s Wicked – on Monday, May 1 at 7:00 PM.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present two-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Drama Desk winner Gavin Lee – making his Birdland debut with his solo show “Steppin’ Out with Fred Astaire” – on Monday, May 29 at 7:00 PM.

Cooper Alan is coming to The District on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023.

Birdland presented three award-winning musicians in “Three Friends/One Piano.” Jim Brickman, Victoria Shaw and Peter Cincotti created an evening of “musical chairs” as they played their hits and told the stories behind them. See photos here!

Every single Monday for the past eighteen years, host Caruso, along with the Cast Party Symphony Orchestra led by Billy Stritch (Daniel Glass on drums and Steve Doyle on bass) hosts Jim Caruso’s Cast Party shining a spotlight on an awe-inspiring variety of talent.

Derrick Davis (The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Carousel, Film's A Christmas Story, Can a Song Save Your Life), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin, Wicked, Between the Lines, and In the Heights) and Telly Leung (Aladdin, Rent, TV's Glee, and Allegiance) will join the star-studded cast featuring previously announced performers.

Tony Award-winning actress and comedienne Julie Halston (Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, Tootsie) will emcee the 12th annual Broadway Belts for PFF!, an unforgettable evening of entertainment featuring some of Broadway's hottest stars. This year's hybrid event will take place live at New York City's Edison Ballroom and virtually on Friday evening, April 29, 2022. The event is the single largest fundraiser for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF).
